How to use the live stream counter on Android

Switch on the LILIES UNIVERSE live counter once and your LISA streams from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, TIDAL and YouTube Music count automatically on your Android phone.

The Android app has a live stream counter. Once switched on, it counts the LISA songs you play in your music apps on the phone, even when LILIES UNIVERSE is closed: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, TIDAL and YouTube Music.

Switch it on

  1. Open the LILIES UNIVERSE Android app and go to Connect Platforms.
  2. On the Live stream counter card, tap Turn on live counting and read the short explanation.
  3. Tap Agree & open settings. Android opens Notification access.
  4. Find LILIES UNIVERSE in the list, switch it on and confirm, then go back to the app.
  5. Play a LISA song in your music app. The card shows "Counting …" and then "counted".

Why Notification access?

It is the only way Android lets an app see which song your music apps are playing. LILIES UNIVERSE reads only the song, artist and play position from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, TIDAL and YouTube Music. It never reads your messages or other notifications, and only LISA streams are sent. You can switch it off in the app or in Android settings at any time.

Keep it counting in the background

Some phones stop apps in the background to save battery, and then streams aren't counted. On the counter card tap Open battery settings and set LILIES UNIVERSE to Unrestricted or Don't optimise. On Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei phones this step is especially important.

Counter stopped? Tap Restart counter on the card. If it keeps happening, switch Notification access for LILIES UNIVERSE off and on again.

Streams counted on your phone go to the Live leaderboards. If you were offline, they are saved on the phone and sent as soon as you're connected again.
